You then have 2 hours to call the shelter and advise of your intentions. After 8, you must either have a rescue call, and place a hold, or YOU MUST CALL THE SHELTER THE NEXT MORNING BEFORE 8AM! Do not wait because I guarantee that the shelter will not wait either. Euth's begin at 6am. Call early!

Evaluator: Jason Handler: Jeremy Helper Dog: A917191 Sheba pulls a bit hard on leash and was excited but very interested in interacting with handler during assessment - jumped up, licked hands and face. She was excited during some of the handling items, but had soft body language and was excitable but playful while playing tag. Sheba was not interested in food, toys or rawhide and approached other dog with friendly/playful body language. Look: 1. Dog leans forward or jumps up to lick the Assessor's face with tail wagging, ears back and eyes averted. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft or squinty, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Or dog indicates play with huffing, soft 'popping' of the body, etc. Dog might jump on Assessor once play begins. Squeeze 1/2: 2. Dog quickly pulls back. Food: Inconclusive, dog is not eating. Reassess at future date. Toy 1: No interest. Reassess at future date. Rawhide: 1. No interest. Reassess at future date. Dog-dog: 1. Dog approaches the helper dog in play position. His mouth is open.
