Ely Sanguino La sinceridad no es algo que debemos esperar de los demás, es un valor que debemos vivir para tener amigos, para ser dignos de confianza…
Para ser sinceros debemos procurar decir siempre la verdad, esto parece muy sencillo, pero muchas veces cuesta más de lo que se cree. Se utilizan las ‘’mentiras piadosas’’ para ocultar cualquier cosa que para nosotros es una tontería, pero que en realidad a la persona que mientes haces daño, y esta pequeña mentira que en un principio nos es nada se va haciendo más y más grande hasta que la verdad se acaba sabiendo y sorprendiendo a quien mientes.
La sinceridad no sólo se ve en las palabras, sino que también se demuestra por medio de nuestras actitudes.
Cuando se aparenta lo que no somos (en la edad, trabajo, amistad…) se tiende a aparentar lo que no se es (más joven, inteligente, educados…) Si se descubre la gran mentira que nos han hecho creer se nos viene a la memoria el refrán: ‘’Dime de que presumes… y te diré de que careces’’ y entonces se produce una gran desilusión ya que se pierden las esperanzas de lo que la persona no es en realidad.
También indicar que ‘’decir’’ siempre la verdad con palabras es una parte de la sinceridad, pero también hay que ‘’actuar’’ acorde con la verdad.
Para ser sincero se necesita tener mucho ‘’tacto’’ y esto significa que cuando debemos decirle a una persona la verdad de lo que pensamos y esta verdad la incomoda debemos utilizar las palabras, las expresiones correctas ya que el primer propósito es ‘’ayudar’’ a esa persona, y esto es necesario para que la persona escuché y vea que lo que se la dice va con buenas intenciones y sin ánimo de ofenderla.
La sinceridad también requiere valor ya que a la hora de decir la verdad a un amigo o a una amiga por ejemplo, el no decir la verdad no se puede justificar con no decirlo con el perder una buena amistad o por el concepto que se tiene de la persona.
La persona sincera siempre dice la verdad, en todo momento, aunque le cueste, sin temor al qué dirán. Ya que vernos sorprendidos mientras mentimos es más vergonzoso aún.
Al ser sinceros aseguramos nuestras amistades, somos más honestos con los demás y a la vez con nosotros mismos, convirtiéndonos en personas dignas de confianza por la autenticidad que hay en nuestra forma de comportarnos y nuestras palabras.
A medida que nos vamos haciendo más mayores, la sinceridad debe ir en aumento y debe convertirse en un elemento básico para vivir nuestra vida con auténtica plenitud y sinceridad.

We had my uncle Rafa and Leticia and the twins Juliana and Sebastian, My Brother Emmanuel and his girlfriend Judith and her little girl Jahaira, my brother Juan Diego and his Fiance Jennifer with her two children Yesenia and Steven, My mom and my grandma. It was truly a day for the kids- seing them run around picking out the tree, then going on the zip line, then coming back to my parents house and decorating the tree, My brother Ed serenating us with music, my dad helping the kids with the tree and the kids building their gingerbread house. Finished the night watching the smurfs while drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows. This is what Christmas is about.
